Piano Trio No. 2 (Brahms)

The Piano Trio in C, opus 87, by Johannes Brahms was composed during 1880-2. It is scored for piano, violin and cello. It was first performed at a chamber music evening in Frankfurt-on-Main on 29 December 1882.

The trio is in four movements:

  1. Allegro moderato
  2. Andante con moto
  3. Scherzo: Presto
  4. Finale: Allegro giocoso
